These Core values are the constitutional principles of The CICSA Co-operative Credit Union which unite all members. These values are expressed in the Rule Book and other significant documents, speeches, and writings of the Cayman Islands Movement. Below is the definition of some core Credit Union values.
Integrity: Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
Equal Opportunity: Every member has equal access to all products and services provided by the Credit Union.
Impartiality: Unprejudiced and a lack of favoritism.
Transparency: The full, accurate, and timely disclosure of information.
Patriotism: Virtuous members display a devotion to their credit union, including devotion to the fundamental values and principles upon which it depends.
Truth: Members can legitimately demand that truth-telling as refraining from lying and full disclosure by the directors, committee members and employees is the rule, since trust in the veracity of the Credit Union constitutes an essential element of the bond between directors, committee members, employees and members.
Common Good: Common good requires that individual members have the commitment and motivation that they accept their obligation to promote the welfare of the Credit Union and to work together with other members for the greater benefit of all. See our Fundamental Principles.
